Completed in late 2015, this private home is nestled seamlessly into its site with every space awash in natural daylight.
Taking inspiration from A. Quincy Jones, our clients knew exactly what they wanted: a home to age in place. A home with a mid-century, modern spirit, although not quite the atomic ranch.
Vessel’s organic design plays on mid-century modern providing a whimsical yet classic vibe - spinning contemporary taste with warmth and richness. Incorporating custom-made glass blocks, fiber-cement siding, and natural limestone – a fusion of details creates something truly unique and unfamiliar within your typical Saint Louis suburb.
Our clients also envisioned a home with views of green. After finding the perfect location to build, and designing the house with over 75 custom windows, the challenge was to completely capture those views yet provide the clients with the privacy they needed. We listened, got to work, and were able to create a home where they could flourish.
This home was featured in St. Louis Magazine's At Home 2016’s 10 most beautiful homes! As the Editor-in-Chief writes, the publication was to select just 10 St. Louis homes to showcase - a challenging undertaking in a city boasting a variety of residential panache.
