Meet Mick Schaefer

Mick is always busy juggling a number of projects for us here at Vessel as a Senior Project Manager. Among many others, here’s some quick hits:

He has been handling construction administration tasks for Newbridge Retirement Community, a new construction senior living project in Cape Girardeau, MO, which is nearing completion. We have already receieved a number of compliments on its beauty and uniqueness. The new residents can’t wait to move in!

In the beginning phases of design, Mick is working on Redemption Ranch, a sleep-away camp looking to expand the number of campers it can support and increase activity spaces.

Mick’s most recent accomplishment is getting The Pavilion at Camelback submitted for permit. Vessel is thrilled to help our client get the best value for their money on this high-end development in Scottsdale, AZ.

Mick has been just as busy outside of the office as well! The Schaefers are quite the travelers; Mick recently visited the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Cincinnati with his son’s class trip, they traveled to Washington D.C. as a family earlier this spring, and are preparing for their trip to France later this summer. They’ve been renovating a rental home, have recently replaced flooring in a few areas, and are trying to train thier new dog. (The flooring projects may or may not be related to the dog thing). His son Isaac just graduated from 8th grade and has been competing in triathlons. His younger son Didi went to his first sleep-away camp and loved it! Don’t worry Isaac gets to go to some too! His wife Allie, on the other hand, has been busy recovering from ICL eye surgery all while continuing to crush it for her employer and travel agency clients.

A fun fact about Mick is he claims to have seen a baby Lochness “Monster” in the big lake at New Town! However, we have yet to rule out that it was actually just a blue heron.

Mick is a team player with a go-getter attitude, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on the Vessel team!
