HOPE Community Project
HOPE Community Project’s mission is to strengthen communities and families in Gonaives, Haiti by caring for orphans and providing viable alternatives to institutionalization for at-risk families.
They came to Vessel through some church friends of Pete’s who are involved with the organization. After preliminary planning, programming conversations, and a redesign, we created images to convey to stakeholders what the hope for the project was. This new facility will encourage and allow program development and implementation by including a community and economic center, clinic, offices, staff and guest housing, as well as a soccer field and basketball court.
It is intentionally designed to fit into the natural architecture of Haiti, so it feels like it belongs in the community. Construction is underway, where HOPE employs a different local construction crew each week to bring the vision to life.
