Handel's National City
The new Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream location in National City, CA wanted to improve the original retail space before opening. We were able to take an outdated scheme and transform it with a clean and welcoming design while incorporating their brand identity and colors throughout. The project features an in-store walk-up counter and a patio, which is a nice addition to the design as it’s not commonly offered at Handel’s locations.
Handel’s found Vessel through their corporate architect, to develop a continued relationship for their national prototype rollout. In this relationship, Vessel is able to collaborate with him and manage the prototypes by creating construction documents and shepherding the permit process. This rollout is part of a big expansion plan of locations in California.
